Ayurveda sees pain as a message from the body

At Ayurharsha, we don't just mask the pain — we trace it to the root dosha (almost always vata). Using the precise therapies handed down by Dr. Lakshmaiah Sharma, we bring warmth, lubrication and stability back to your joints, muscles and nerves.

Pacifies vata

Most pain is aggravated vata. Our warm oil therapies (snehana) and basti directly calm vata, reducing stiffness and nerve irritation.

Reduces inflammation

Herbal decoctions and pinda sweda (medicated bolus) penetrate deep to dissolve ama (toxins) that cause swelling and soreness.

Strengthens joints

Rejuvenative therapies like kati vasti and njavarakizhi nourish the cartilage and synovial fluid, improving mobility.

Calms the nerves

Shirodhara and pizhichil relax the central nervous system, breaking the pain‑stress cycle and promoting restorative sleep.

Your pain management journey at Ayurharsha

1

Nadi pareeksha

Dr. Sambasiva reads your pulse to locate the pain's root (vata, pitta or associated tissue). He then selects the precise oil and therapy.

2

Customized therapy

Depending on your condition, you may receive kati vasti (for back pain), pizhichil (whole body), or local pinda sweda. Therapists work in synchrony.

3

Rejuvenation & advice

After the session, a short rest with herbal steam. You'll receive diet and lifestyle tips to keep vata balanced long after you leave.

Duration: 45–90 minutes per session | Ideal course: 7, 14 or 21 days depending on chronicity.

“My grandfather treated severe rheumatoid arthritis with just three basti and a special paste of dashamoola. That formula is still in use today — we have refined it, but the soul remains.

Frequently asked questions

How is Ayurvedic pain relief different?
We treat the root cause (vata imbalance) rather than suppressing symptoms. Long‑lasting relief without side effects.
Which oils are used?
Medicated oils like Ksheerabala, Mahanarayana, and Prasarini taila — prepared in‑house following Dr. Ramamurthy's puta method.
Is it safe for severe arthritis?

How many sessions are needed?
For chronic pain, a minimum of 7 consecutive days is recommended, often followed by home care.
